Recently, while playing badminton, my team went in as the clear underdogs. The other team was stronger, more experienced, and simply better. Yet, we won convincingly !
After the game, I kept thinking: How did that happen?
It wasn’t luck or even skills. IT WAS STRATEGY.
We focused on:
🔹Playing to each other’s strengths
🔹Covering for one another’s weaknesses
🔹Capitalizing on our opponents’ gaps
🔹Keeping things simple instead of trying something new for the first time
🔹Communicating with each other regularly
🔹Trusting teamwork over individual brilliance
That realization stayed with me because the same principles often apply to work and life.
GREAT RESULTS DON’T ALWAYS REQUIRE GREAT RESOURCES. THEY REQUIRE CLARITY, ALIGNMENT, AND KNOWING HOW TO USE WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE EFFECTIVELY.
A good reminder that success is often less about WHAT YOU HAVE and more about HOW YOU USE IT.
Money, time, degrees, skills, network etc…are great resources. But you also should know on how to USE them.
All the best!
