Badminton Tournament Sarthe | Local Club Event

The COC Badminton will host on January 24 and 25, 2025 the Sarthe departmental youth trophy.

This is the third time that the club has hosted this competition in Montval-sur-Loir.

COC Badminton is organizing a new tournament

Charles Hubert, president of COC Badmintonreturns to this organization:

The tournament will take place at the Orion gymnasium, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. over both days. We are expecting around a hundred players. On Saturday, we will have the juniors, aged 12 to 13, and on Sunday the cadets, aged 14 to 15. These will exclusively be boys’ doubles, girls’ doubles and mixed doubles matches.

This tournament is an official competition and counts for the general ranking:

“There are seven stages of this tournament in Sarthe, we are hosting the 3rd. We have the best young players of the department in Montval. Among them, some are selected in the Region,” adds the president.

Hosting this tournament is a great opportunity for COC Badminton: “Every time, it’s a success. We will have 16 young people of the COC registered”.

“A very good team”

At the end of the seven stages, the best players and teams are rewarded at the end of the year:

Last season, the club was positioned in 5th place out of 18. We can be proud of us, we have a very good team, we are 17 members in the office. Everyone knows what to do and it works very well.

Charles Hubert.

The COC Badminton is already announcing its next event: the 6th edition of its night tournament on March 20 in mixed doubles, Bad à Bercé, where 72 people have already registered.

January 24 & 25, at the Orion gymnasium. Free and catering center on site.
