Bacon & Dubai’s Win: EuroLeague Highlights

Dubai secured a crucial victory on Matchday 18 of the EuroLeague, defeating Olimpia Milano at home in a dramatic end to the match with a score of 99-92.

Dwayne Bacon performed well for the squad led by Jurica Golemac, who was still without Dzanan Musa, Aleksa Avramovic and Nate Mason. The American concluded the game with 25 points (8/18 shooting) and 8 rebounds, while McKinley Wright IV continued his impressive performance, placing him in a good position for the title of best player of the month in the EuroLeague, with 19 points and 9 assists. Serbian Filip Petrusev added 13 points and 7 rebounds.

For Olimpia Milano, Josh Nebo led the team with 15 points, followed by Shavon Shields with 14 units. Marko Guduric scored 13 points and recorded seven assists and seven rebounds.

This intense duel opened the 18th day of the EuroLeague. Dubai hit the ground running, taking a double-digit lead after the first quarter, 31-20.

Milano gradually reduced the gap, returning to a short tie at the start of the last quarter (72-71). Then Wright stepped in, fueling the attack and fueling the advantage with passes and points that revived Dubai and cemented a second victory in a row.

Dubai now take their record to 9 wins and 9 losses, and will travel to Real Madrid to close out the first half of the European season. Milano is also 9-9 and will face Virtus Bologna on the next day.
