The Australian Open has started. The first superstars have already reached the next round – including Novak Djokovic and Iga Swiatek.

Novak Djokovic didn’t have much trouble with his first hurdle. The ten-time Melbourne winner won against Spaniard Pedro Martinez 6:3, 6:2, 6:2 and was in good form in his first match since November. It was the Serb’s 100th victory at the Australian Open.

Previously, in the night session, world number two Iga Swiatek from Poland won against China’s Yuan Yue 7:6 (7:5), 6:3. Coco Gauff from the USA also advanced with a 6:2, 6:3 win against the Uzbek Kamilla Rachimova and celebrated her 75th victory in one of the four Grand Slam tournaments at the age of 21.
