Auria Badminton: National League Competition

The National Second Territorial Badminton League starts this weekend on the island of Tenerife, a competition that this season has the participation of two teams from the Auria Bádminton Club. Over the next few months, the club’s youngest players have the opportunity to continue training in a highly demanding competition at the Canary Islands level and, above all, gain experience for future competitions.

13 players and a coach travel on Saturday morning to the island of Tenerife to participate in the first round of the Second Territorial National League. Auria “B” is made up of Alejandro Rijo, Zhi Tao Li, José María Abad, Ben Padrón, Ariadna Moreno, Alicia Martínez and Paula Spadafora. For its part, Auria “C” is made up of Álvaro Guadalupe, Isaac Rincón, Jacob López, Nerea Padrón, Patricia Vargas and Lucía Rincón. All of them will be accompanied by Oliver Gausmann who will perform the duties of coach.

Twelve teams make up the National Second Territorial Badminton League this season. With the presence of two teams from the Auria Bádminton Club, the Canarian group is completed with the participation of CB Badfor, Bádminton La Palma, Uni Lob, Tenzul El Rosario “C”, Tenzul El Rosario “D”, Bádminton Tenerife “B”, Uni Drop, Gran “K” Top Skin, Víctor Team and Caparina “B”.

On the first day, to be held on Saturday at the La Esperanza Municipal Pavilion, in Tenerife, Auria “B” faces Uni Drop, Gran “K” Top Skin and Víctor Team. For its part, Auria “C” in this first event of the season will have Bádminton La Palma, Uni Lob and Tenzul El Rosario “D” as rivals.

In each of the scheduled matches, a total of five games are played; men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles, with three points being added to the team that wins the greatest number of matches. The next dates of the Second Territorial National League will be on March 8 and the double date on April 18 and 19.
