Countdown to the premiere of the Arenas in Fadura. The historic team will disembark in its new fiefdom this Sunday, with the duel that will face the … Ourense starting at twelve noon. A clash for which their new home is already fully prepared, ready to welcome the ARENA fans.
Like all moves, this move from Gobela to Fadura may cause some inconvenience and annoyance, which is why Arenas has published a video on its social networks in which they report various aspects of interest, while encouraging their fans to come en masse to this premiere.
The protagonist of the video is Josu Ocariz, vice president of the new ARENA board of directors – he was also on the previous one along with Gorka Zurinaga. “We are aware that leaving Gobela leaves a great void in our hearts,” he begins. “We must overcome it, all together to, with the utmost enthusiasm, achieve the objective,” Ocariz harangues before giving various details about what will be the new home of Arenas.

The main entrance to the venue will be the one for the red and black members, while the local fans must use the access located at the north end. The two covered stands, with capacity for around seven hundred people, will be for exclusive use by members of the historic event. The red and black manager also remembers that there will be a bus service before and after the game, “with departures from Calle Mayor and to the Fadura gate itself, so we encourage you to use them.” “Let’s make Fadura a fort,” he encourages at the end of the video.

In order for Arenas to play its matches in Fadura, several improvement works have been necessary in its facilities, with a total investment of 931,000 euros by the Getxo City Council to adjust it to the regulations of the Spanish Football Federation.
In addition to the conditioning of the natural grass field itself, one of the main demands of the federative entity, the team and referee locker rooms have been completely renovated, the covered stands have been repaired, as well as the standing stands, the perimeter fencing of the playing field has also been replaced, access and lighting have been improved and new communications and security systems have been installed.
The conditioning of the promenade that runs parallel to the football field and next to the Gobela River remains to be undertaken, which once completed will allow a new access to be opened from Plaza María de Ibarra. These works are scheduled to be carried out throughout the month of February.
