Archers Fight Cancer: Benavente Event

The Benavente City Council presented this Tuesday the ‘Arrows against cancer’ archery charity trophy in favor of the Benavente Local Headquarters of the Spanish Association against Cancer in the CTLB Business Center Hall that will take place on February 1.

The sports councilor, Elena Justothe President of the Benavente Local Headquarters of the AECC, Carmen Prieto and the representatives of the Benavente Arqueros Club, Bernardo Martinez y Juan Carlos Herrero.

The event will bring together dozens of shooters from various points in the community of Castilla y León at the Business Center in a charity event where backpacks commemorating the event will be on sale at a price of 5 euros. All money raised will go to the AECC of Benavente.

The sports councilor, Elena Justo, has highlighted the very important role of sports in helping cancer patients and the willingness of the city’s clubs and in this case, the Benavente Arqueros Club, to collaborate with the AECC of Benavente.

For her part, Carmen Prieto, President of the AECC of Benavente, thanked the involvement and solidarity of the Benavente Arqueros Club, highlighting the importance of these actions for the development of the association’s programs with cancer patients in the city.

The president of the Benavente Archers Club, Bernardo Martínez, has invited all the residents of Benavente and Comarca to come to the event to enjoy a very attractive sport such as archery and to collaborate with the acquisition of a backpack and thus contribute their grain of sand to the association.
