Antalya Hedef Basketball: Dues & Leaving the Club

As the parent of our athlete, who has been working as a licensed member of 07 Antalya Hedef Basketball for about a year, I felt the need to write this complaint due to the recent unfair dues application and the resulting termination of my child’s relationship with the club.

On December 20, 2025, I made the dues payment of 1,500 TL valid for that period, sent the receipt to İ***** K** and received both a payment confirmation and a thank you message from him via WhatsApp. So, my December payment was clearly approved by you and the process was completed. Despite this, it was announced that the dues had been increased to 2,500 TL as of January 1, and an additional 1,000 TL was requested from me as the difference between the new dues amount and the old dues amount for January. I find this retrospective additional payment request extremely wrong, both commercially and ethically.

As a sign of goodwill, I paid the dues of 2,500 TL for February in advance. However, my justified objections to this unfair additional payment request were not taken into account, no solution was produced, and instead, the February fee I paid was refunded to me and my child’s relationship with the club was completely terminated as of January 25, 2026. I cannot accept this approach, which wastes an athlete’s entire season and effort for the sake of personal egos and financial concerns.

In this process, I think that the additional payment of 1,000 TL requested from me, especially for January, is unfair and I want this practice to be stopped. My main request is that this negative experience given to me and my child should not be reflected on other parents and athletes, and that similarly retroactive, arbitrary and unethical dues practices should not be repeated. I expect the club to act more transparently, fairly and in line with the spirit of sports in both financial matters, communication and ethical principles in the future.
