Alexis Pinturault: 2026 Olympics Hopeful

The morning press release put an end to the last, very relative, suspense. As expected, Alexis Pinturault did not appear on Monday in the French selection for the Milan-Cortina Olympic Games (February 6-22). The fault lies in too few places, seven, allocated to the male athletes of the French team, according to their results, by the International Ski Federation (FIS). The fault above all is too disappointing performances from the triple Olympic medalist, French record holder for the number of World Cup victories (34), to hope to be on the trip to Italy.

But two hours after the end of the video press conference by national technical director Pierre Mignerey and the director of alpine skiing of the French federation (FFS) David Chastan, the Blues inherited a new quota, an eighth for men. A twist of theater for an extra folding seat that Pinturault can still hope to win, competing against the Schladming giant, this Tuesday evening, in Austria.
