As a preview of the Australian Open final, the two players showed off their high-level performance throughout the match. The spectators who filled the tournament venue, Inspire Arena, were enthusiastic about the tennis show of the world’s No. 1 and 2 ranked tennis players.

Alcaras defeated Sinner 7-5 7-6(6) in Hyundai Card Super Match 14 held at Inspire Arena in Yeongjong-do, Incheon on the 10th.

The game continued with a high-level rally in a cheerful atmosphere. Alcaras and Sinner exchanged strokes without losing their smiles. At the beginning of the first set, the team engaged in a rally battle using only backhand slices, and also showed off a tweener, drawing a positive response from the audience.

Nevertheless, the level of play was very high. Both players somehow maintained their serve games. Sinner continued to create aces and serve points with strong serves, and Alcaras further improved his perfection in the stroke competition.

At 6-5, Alcaras succeeded in the first break and won the first set.

The second set was also similar. Both players kept their serves.

There was also a little happening. Sinner suddenly handed a racket to a boy sitting in the stands. And there was an interesting scene where the boy competed with Alcaras on behalf of Sinner and even scored a point.

The second set ended in a tiebreak without a break, and Alcaras ended the match by winning 8-6. Contrary to the audience’s wishes, the match did not continue to the third set.

On this day, Inspire Arena was filled with 15,000 seats. Many tennis fans filled the stands to see Alcaras and Sinner’s tennis show, which may never be seen again in Korea. The fans were enthusiastic about Alcaras and Sinner’s shots and cheered loudly.

Alcaras and Sinner both expressed their gratitude to Korean tennis fans, saying, “It was very surprising and fun to see the crowd welcome us so much. Although it was my first visit to Korea, I felt at home here.”

Alcaras and Sinner’s next tournament is the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the season. After finishing the game, the two players immediately headed to Incheon International Airport to depart for Australia. The two players head to Australia on the same private plane.
