FOOTBALL
✈ OM – Ligue 1
After their defeat in the French Cup (9/0) against Bayeux (R1) and before their return to the Champions League on Wednesday against Liverpool, the Olympians (3rd in Ligue 1) travel this Saturday to Angers (10th). Match at 9:05 p.m. to follow as always live on maritima. The Marseillais need to get back on track in the championship. They have only one success in the last 4 days and fell during their last match against Nantes (0/2).
✈ Les Marseillaises – Arkema Premier League
After their poor performance on Wednesday at home against the bottom Saint-Étienne (1/0 defeat), the Olympians (9th) will continue on Saturday with a complicated trip to Fleury, 4th in the championship. Match at 5 p.m. The Parisians are not in great shape either with 3 matches without success (2 draws and a defeat).
🏠 Aubagne – National
It’s the resumption of the National championship. Aubagne Air Bel (6th) welcomes Paris 13 Atletico (11th) this evening at 7:30 p.m. If the Parisians are lower ranked than the Aubagnais, they ended the year with 5 matches without defeat in the league (3 wins and 2 draws). Aubagne, for its part, has not lost in the last 3 days (2 wins and a draw).
🏠 Istres FC – National 2
Return to the championship for the Violets. Eliminated from the Coupe de France last weekend by Laval (Ligue 2) 0/2, the Istreens (7th) welcome Nîmes (3rd) Saturday at 6 p.m. in Parsemain. The two clubs are on the same dynamic in the league with one victory and two draws in their last three matches.
RUGBY
✈ Provence Rugby – Pro D2
The Aixois (3rd) are traveling this evening at 7 p.m. to Nevers (8th) for this 17th day of Pro D2. Last week, Provence Rugby swept Grenoble 45 to 15. Tied on points with 2nd Colomiers, Aix is 8 points behind leader Vannes. Please note that no team has yet managed to win this season in Nevers.
HOCKEY
✈ Spartans – Magnus League
It’s the 33rd day of the championship and the Marseille hockey players (5th) are playing at bottom side Gap this evening at 8:30 p.m. Since the start of the year, the Spartans have recorded 3 victories and one defeat (at Grenoble 7/1). The Raptors remain on 5 consecutive losses.
VOLLEY
✈ Martigues Volleyball – League B
A shock in League B. The MVB leader, undefeated for 11 matches in the league, travels to its runner-up Royan. A new success would allow Martégaux to really take off in the standings since they are already 6 points ahead of their opponent.
HANDBALL
✈ Plan-de-Cuques – Coupe de France
The handball players from Plan-de-Cuques have a derby in the Coupe de France. They will play Saturday at 2 p.m. in Toulon, another Butagaz Energie League team. There will be revenge in the air since the two teams already faced each other on Wednesday, in the championship this time, for a narrow victory for Toulon 30/28.
In this Cup, which is played in a group format of 6, Plan-de-Cuques is 2nd (with 2 victories and one defeat) behind Nice (3 victories), the Varoises are 4th with the same record.
✈ Martigues Handball – Coupe de France
This is the recovery for the MHB. Not yet for the N1 championship which will resume on February 7 but this weekend there is the 3rd round of the Coupe de France Fédérale. The “Lions” will travel to US Crauroise on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. The Varois play in Nationale 2 and are leaders of their group with 10 victories in 11 matches ahead of CS Marseille.
Also note that the MHB will organize this year the 3rd edition of its national tournament “Martigues Lion’s Cup” from May 23 to 25. A competition open to U13, U15 and U18 women’s and men’s teams. Registrations are open until April 1st on the club website.
BASKET
🏠 Fos Provence Basket – Nationale Masculine 1
The Fosséens want to continue their momentum. After 3 consecutive defeats in December which cost them the leadership position, the Byers have just had two successes. 3rd in their N1 group, they will now host a poorly ranked Charleville-Mézières (12th) this evening at 8 p.m. at the Halle Giuitta.
The Fosséens registered two medical freelancers at the start of the year. French winger Loic Menuge (26 years old, 1m99) came to compensate for the injury of Calvin Hippolyte and Bahamian international interior Jaraun Burrows (40 years old, 2m03) made his return as a medical freelancer for Seydou Diallo who should be absent for 4 weeks.
✈ Martigues Sport Basket – Women’s National 1
12th day of N1. The Martegales basketball players are going to the leader Nord Alsace who has only lost one match since the start of the season. 6th in the standings (5 wins and 5 losses), the “Sardines” remain on a great success at home against Colomiers 88/52. As a reminder of the first leg, the Alsatians won in Martigues during the first day of the 59/69 championship.
BADMINTON
🏠 and ✈ Fos BC and Aix Université Club – Top 12
Sixth day of the French Elite Badminton Championship this Saturday January 17, 2026 at the Parsemain sports complex. From 5:50 p.m., the Badminton Club of Fos sur Mer will face Caen. Fos is leader of its group with 5 victories in 5 matches. Conversely, Caen is last with 5 defeats.

This morning he will face the Indonesian Christie (4th in the world) in the quarter-finals.
As the curtain rises at 2:20 p.m., team 2 playing in Nationale 2 will face Aix-en-Provence 2.
Team 1 of Aix UCB (5th in its Top 12 group) will be traveling to Volant Airois on Saturday (2nd)
