BRATISLAVA – Slovakia will finally be represented at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, as well as in women’s ski jumping competitions.

The International Skiing and Snowboarding Federation (FIS) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) allocated one place to Slovak ski jumpers as part of the redistribution of quotas. The Slovak Olympic Committee (SOV) informed about it.

There will be 53 athletes in Slovakia’s expedition to the games in northern Italy, the name of which was confirmed by the general meeting of the Slovak Olympic and Sports Committee on Friday. The Slovak Skiing Association (ZSL) will decide which of the ski jumpers will get a place.

The main adept to participate under the five rings is Kira Mária Kapustíková, who initially found herself in the position of guaranteeing a place in the provisional FIS rankings. Later, however, she appeared first under the line, as priority was given to female competitors who have the opportunity to occupy the mixed team competition as well. Tamara Mesíková also represents Slovakia in the World Cup.

On the ski jumps, Slovakia will have its premiere in the women’s competition under five rings. In the men’s category, Hektor Kapustík won a place and thus follows Tomáš Zmoray, who started in Vancouver 2010.
