Bola.net – European transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, revealed the current condition of Joshua Zirkzee. He doubts that the striker will leave Manchester United this winter.
Since the 2025/2026 season started, it has been rumored that Zirkzee is unhappy at Manchester United. The Dutch national team striker had minimal playing time after being unable to compete with MU’s new recruit, Benjamin Sesko.
Zirkzee itself is rumored to be pulling out this winter. Italian club AS Roma is reportedly very interested in bringing the former Bologna to their team.

According to Romano’s report, Zirkzee’s transfer to AS Roma did not receive the green light from Manchester United management. The Red Devils are determined to keep the striker next winter.
This is because MU’s current stock of strikers is very limited. If Sesko suffers another injury, the Red Devils will practically have no spearhead and that will be a problem for them.
MU also does not plan to buy a new striker this winter. That’s why they chose to keep Zirkzee rather than releasing him to AS Roma.
