Football World Cup 2026
Sales phase until January 13th: Next chance for World Cup tickets
The preliminary round groups for the mega World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico have largely been determined. Starting today, fans can apply for tickets again.
The sale of tickets for next summer’s World Cup in the USA, Canada and Mexico is entering the next phase starting today. From 5:00 p.m. CET, fans can register for the random drawing at FIFA.com/tickets. For the first time, individual tickets are available for specific games and teams in the group phase.
It is the last official sales phase, registration is possible until January 13th. According to the world association FIFA, any remaining tickets will go on sale at a later date before the tournament, while stocks last.
Fans who do not yet have a FIFA ID must first create an account. According to the world association, the time of registration for the random drawing has no influence on the chances of success. Anyone who is lucky in the subsequent random selection process will receive an email. This will inform you of a time window in which you can purchase tickets.
Only a few tickets at the cheapest price
FIFA advertised that tickets were available for as little as $60 (around 51 euros). However, the corresponding areas for this price category are small in the World Cup stadiums, so there are hardly any tickets available for the cheapest price. Significantly higher prices are charged on the resale market, and FIFA also charges an additional 15 percent each from the buyer and seller.
There are a total of 104 games in the final tournament, which is being played for the first time with 48 teams. Co-hosts Mexico and South Africa will play the opening game on June 13th in Mexico City, and the final will take place on July 19th in East Rutherford near New York.
Almost two million tickets have already been sold
The German team starts the group phase against Curaçao on June 14th at the Houston Stadium. Other opponents include the Ivory Coast in Toronto on June 20th and the team from Ecuador on June 25th in East Rutherford.
According to FIFA, football fans have already snapped up almost two million tickets in the first two sales phases. A maximum of four tickets per game and a total of a maximum of 40 tickets for the entire World Cup can be purchased per household.
