Warriors Trade: Targeting Trey Murphy III

Yesterday the Golden State Warriors rumored the possibility of going blindly for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Even putting Draymond Green in said operation. In the Bay Area they are already keeping an eye on that “Stephen Curry’s latest project” that keeps getting remodeled because Curry never stops being great. The latest target to put himself in Mike Dunleavy Jr.’s sights is Trey Murphy III.

As always, the bargaining chip would mainly be Jonathan Kuminga. After a surprising start to the season where he even took over as a starter, the forward has returned to irregular play and minutes. Which plummets his value and once again makes it difficult for the franchise to put him on the showcase.

In other words, a profile like Murphy seems utopian seeing what the Warriors can offer and that they are not going to get rid of Jimmy Butler or Green if it is not in exchange for an already established star.

This once again becomes a “Where will Kuminga play?” in which Sacramento was eager to participate last summer. Chicago and Phoenix also appear on the horizon. And the flip side is that the Pelicans would be one of the main bidders and, probably, those who have the most to offer.
