Tournament takes place on December 3rd, in Vila Nova de Gaia, and already has more than a hundred registered
Do you know Walking Football? It is a variant of football dedicated to people over 50 and played without rushing, in mixed teams and without goalkeepers. This is the way used by the pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson (J&J) and the Network of Senior Universities (RUTIS), with the Portuguese Association of Urology (APU) and APDPróstata to raise awareness of prostate cancer, which is the second cause of death from cancer in men. And in what way? Through the ‘Don’t be left out of the game’ campaign.
One of the highlights of this campaign takes place on December 3rd when teams from the different partners of the initiative take the field to play a game of Walking Football with senior teams from RUTIS, in the Vila Nova de Gaia stage. At the moment, more than a hundred athletes have already registered. The partners of this initiative (APDP, APU and J&J) will be present at the Walking Football games organized by RUTIS, with information leaflets about prostate cancer.
