Recently, there is an increasing number of young people who prefer attractive (adrenaline) content that will fulfill their expectations and provide excitement. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to present Australian football as an attractive content of sports recreation and to describe in detail the rules of the game and the historical development of this sport, which is little represented in Croatia. In addition to the mentioned topics, the paper also describes some basic technical and tactical elements of Australian football and methodical procedures for acquiring motor skills specific to this sport.

(English) Lately, there is a growing number of young people who prefer attractive (adrenaline) content that will meet their expectations and enable them excitement. The main objective of this paper is to present Australian football as an attractive content of sports recreation and to describe more closely the rules of the game and the historical development of the respective sport. In the labor next to the listed topics it will describe some of the basic technical and tactical elements of Australian football and the methodological procedures for acquiring motor skills specific to the sport.
