The most logical name in the event of Paolo Vanoli’s dismissal is that of Stefano Pioli who is currently still under the club’s generous contract and who the club can recall practically whenever it wants. However, the situation is difficult and Pioli has already failed, so alternative solutions are being evaluated and one is more intriguing than the others. According to Corriere dello Sport, Fiorentina are evaluating three names to replace Vanoli, starting from Ballardini (present at the stadium on Sunday) up to the youth coach Galloppa but also teases the return of Giuseppe Iachini.
Iachini is an expert coach in the fight for survival and above all he has a deep historical bond with the Viola club. A coach who played in Florence for five years, but not only that, he coached Fiorentina from 2019 to 2021, always in some moments of difficulty. He knows the environment and this is important, the club is thinking of him for the bench, this possibility is really concrete and the club is thinking about it.
Iachini would have low costs and is important after the dismissal of Pioli and the increasingly probable one of Vanoli who will be on the bench against Udinese. Otherwise, replacements are already ready.
