NHL: New signing comes from New Jersey
New Jersey lost 2-1 at home to the Vancouver Canucks. Goalie Thatcher Demko (25 saves) and Zeev Buium became the match winner. Nico Hischier and Jonas Siegenthaler in his 400th NHL game remained without a scorer for the Devils and both had a neutral record. Timo Meier was still missing from New Jersey. He was placed on leave on Thursday to attend to “a family matter of a health nature.”
