UNILIG Basketball: Çukurova Qualifiers – Highlights & Results

Turkish University Sports Federation UNILİG Basketball Türkiye Championship Qualifying Group competitions, hosted by Çukurova University and held at Lütfullah Aksungur Sports Hall, brought together 8 universities between 1-5 December 2025.

8 Universities, 11 Teams, Great Competition

A total of 11 teams competed in the tournament, 5 for women and 6 for men. In addition to Çukurova University, Alparslan Türkeş Science and Technology University, Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, Gaziantep University, Hasan Kalyoncu University, Eastern Mediterranean University and Muş Alparslan University took part in the competitions.

In the five-day matches, the athletes showed exemplary performances in terms of both competition and sportsmanship.

Çukurova University Became the Champion in Men

As a result of the fierce competitions, Çukurova University finished first in the men’s category, while Gaziantep University came second and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University came third.

Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, Owner of the Summit in Women

In the women’s category, Van Yüzüncü Yıl University ranked first, Çukurova University came second, and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University finished the tournament third.

The Unifying Power of Sports Met in Adana

The organization, which contributes to the social and cultural integration of university students from different cities through sports, has created an important value for both our university and our city. The atmosphere of enthusiasm and friendship in the stands throughout the tournament once again demonstrated the social power of university sports.
