The 2025–2026 season Basketball Unilig Türkiye Championship Qualification was completed with matches hosted by 11 universities all over Türkiye. During the qualifying process organized by the Turkish University Sports Federation (TÜSF), 1243 male and female student athletes from 76 universities took to the field and showed a performance that left their mark on the season.
Competitions; It was played simultaneously at Mersin University, Pamukkale University, Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Balıkesir University, Çukurova University, Bingöl University, Bayburt University, Kayseri University, Dokuz Eylül University, Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University and various universities in Ankara. The organization with wide participation attracted attention with both the level of competition and the dynamism it provided to the university sports culture.
TÜSF President Prof. Dr. Mutlu Türkmen congratulated all the teams in his evaluation after the completion of the qualifying matches and said, “The struggle, sportsmanship and sports culture displayed in the Basketball Unilig qualifications once again demonstrated the level reached by our university sports. I congratulate our student athletes, coaches and hosting universities, and wish success to the teams advancing to the finals.”
After five days of intense tempo, the teams that were successful in their groups gained the right to participate in the Basketball Unilig Türkiye Championship Finals. (TUSF)
