Ultras: Attempted Murder Charges – Latest News

The seven Sporting ultras arrested for attacking five FC Porto fans, after a roller hockey classic on June 10, were accused by the Public Prosecutor’s Office of attempted qualified murder, JN reported this Monday.

In addition to five crimes of attempted qualified homicide, the seven defendants – one of whom is a repeat offender – will also be charged with ten qualified crimes of offensive to physical integrity, five crimes of robbery (one completed, four attempted), three crimes of qualified damage and one of arson, according to the same source.

According to the prosecution, the defendants “acted as a group, as part of a plan that aimed to set fire to the vehicles in which members of the rival club were traveling – which they managed to achieve in relation to one of the vehicles -, with the occupants inside, not allowing them to leave, inflicting blows and blows, stoning the victims and cars, and appropriating valuable objects that they had in their possession.”

Of the seven defendants, five are in pre-trial detention and two are under house arrest, with an electronic bracelet.
