The Tunisian supporters are fixed. Sami Trabelsi, the coach of the Eagles of Carthage, revealed this Thursday at noon the list of 28 players selected to play in the African Cup of Nations in Morocco, from December 21 to January 18. If, unlike the big teams on the continent, Tunisia cannot rely on a big international star like Achraf Hakimi or Sadio Mané, the North African nation can count on several faces well known to the French-speaking public.
Two players playing in Ligue 1 were selected: Montassar Talbi, the central defender of FC Lorient and Ali Abdi, the left back of OGC Nice. The group that will fly to Morocco will also be filled by Ismaël Gharbi, trained at Paris Saint-Germain and now a player for Augsburg, Germany. Naïm Sliti, who played for Paris FC, Red Star, Lille and Dijon, was called up among the attackers.
