An intense day for the men’s team of the Trespoux Tennis Club this Sunday, December 14 at the Salle du Montat, in the semi-final against their counterparts from the Gramat Tennis club.
In singles 1, balanced on paper (30/2), Adrien Courchinoux for Trespoux fought until the third set to win over Benjamin Rousseau. Also three sets in singles 2, Trespouz captain Moran Raynaud was facing Gramatois Philippe Lescole (30/1) who won. For singles 3 Christian Egner (30/1) from TCT was unable to do anything against the powerful services of Massiga Sacko (30), who won in two sets 6/3 – 6/2.
2 to 1 at the end of the singles, it was the doubles match counting for 2 points which would determine the winner of this meeting and the team which would reach the final next January in Cahors. The Trespouziens Moran and Adrien gave a great performance against Massiga and Philippe. A first set won easily 6-2, a second set which went to the advantage of the opposing team 3-6. Adrien Courchinoux and Moran Raynaud won the third decisive set 10-4 and the match at the same time 3-2.
The final of the Tenegal Cup for this division 3 will take place on January 18 in Cahors, Trespoux will face the Negrepelisse Tennis club team (winner of Souillac) for the final victory.
