Regional ties

The 225 selected Chubut athletes will participate in different disciplines in the city of Santa Rosa, which will host a new edition of the Araucanía Binational Games, the traditional sporting event that brings together young people up to 18 years old from the Patagonian regions of Argentina and Chile.

Since 1992, the Games have been held uninterruptedly, alternating their venue between both countries, and consolidating themselves as one of the most important youth sports spaces in the south of the continent.

In this edition, more than 2,000 athletes will compete in the disciplines of Athletics, Swimming, Cycling, Judo, Soccer, Basketball and Volleyball, both male and female.

This is a new opportunity to strengthen sporting and cultural ties between both countries, promoting the development of high youth performance in a framework of integration, respect and coexistence.
