Ter Stegen can save his career by accepting a loan offer from another club.
BOLASPORT.COM – Barcelona goalkeeper, Marc-Andre ter Stegen, received an attractive offer from Aston Villa amidst the uncertainty of his future at Camp Nou.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen is at the center of speculation ahead of the opening of the 2026 winter transfer market in January.
This is because his position as Barcelona’s main goalkeeper has been shifted.
Barcelona’s decision to bring in a new goalkeeper in the summer of 2025 is the cause.
They recruited Joan Garcia from Espanyol with a transfer value of 25 million euros.
Coach Hansi Flick has said that Joan Garcia is Barcelona’s number one goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, Wojciech Szczesny, who will be El Barca’s main goalkeeper in the second half of the 2024-2025 season, will be Garcia’s main backup.
This means that, hierarchically, Ter Stegen is the third goalkeeper.
