Steelers: NFL Division Lead Update

The Pittsburgh Steelers retain the lead in the AFC North Division with a 28-15 victory over the Miami Dolphins, who are now eliminated from the playoff race.

The fans gathered in Pittsburgh had to be patient before seeing the two attacks get going while no points were scored in the first quarter. The Steelers’ first three offensive sequences ended in punts.

It was subsequently that the locals opened the machine. They have scored a touchdown on four consecutive offensive drives, tying their longest streak in the last 25 years. This is the first time since 2018 that Pittsburgh has achieved the feat.

DK Metcalf scored his first touchdown through the air since October 26, finishing the game with three receptions for gains of 55 yards.

Aaron Rodgers completed 23 of his 27 attempted passes for 224 yards. He threw two touchdown passes for the first time since October 26.

On the other side, Tua Tagovailoa threw for over 200 yards for the first time in five games. He also threw his 15th interception of the campaign, a record in the NFL. The Dolphins quarterback still hasn’t savored victory in a game where the temperature was below four degrees Celsius at the time of the kickoff.

During the third quarter, Miami was minus 20 in terms of yards obtained.

The Dolphins experienced their offensive revival in the last quarter with 12 points, having only scored three in the previous three quarters. Miami thus ends a streak of four victories.

The Steelers have won their last 23 Monday night games at home. Their last defeat dates back to 1991.

TJ Watt was absent from the Steelers side, having had surgery for a collapsed lung last week.
