Sporting Target: European Club Interest

The desire for Yeremay Hernández continues to increase, as the 23-year-old player becomes one of the stars of LaLiga 2, playing for Deportivo da Coruña. And it’s not just Sporting that follows the left-winger’s path.

Marca reports this Sunday that Barcelona has also been following the games of Hernández, a player that the Catalan club considers to be “very interesting”, according to this publication.

In the summer, Sporting offered 25 million euros plus 5 million in bonuses for Hernández, but Deportivo rejected the proposal and didn’t even want to negotiate. The Galician club held on to one of its main assets to attack the long-awaited promotion to LaLiga – at the moment, it is in 3rd place in LaLiga 2.

In November, Yeremay Hernández admitted that he supports the team that has already started to follow its path. Speaking on the program The Chiringuito, the player admitted: «I’m from Depor, from Las Palmas, the team from my hometown, and a little bit from Barça».

In the summer, Yeremay renewed his contract with Deportivo until 2030 and according to the Spanish press, the player’s release clause rose to 50 million euros.

This season, Yeremay has seven goals and five assists in 19 matches in the championship, following a campaign that, if it continues like this, will mean that the list of those interested in the Spaniard may not stop there.
