SOM Badminton: December Highlights – Millau

Before putting away the rackets for the end-of-year holidays, SOM Badminton experienced a particularly intense month of December. The three club teams were in fact involved during the days of the Departmental Interclub Championship, with varying fortunes but total commitment on the pitch.

Team 1engaged in division 1traveled to Réquista to play its second day of the championship. A day perfectly mastered by the Millavois, who won in the morning against Marvejols, before confirming the afternoon with a new victory against the local team of Réquista. A double performance praised for Sigrid Costecalde, Émilie Roubire, Manon Tarrusson, Jean-Baptiste Conan and Jérôme Chabertauthors of a flawless journey.

Team 2for his part, disputed with Mende his first day of championship in division 3. The morning ended in a draw against La Canourgue, before a defeat in the afternoon against Mende’s players. An encouraging start for Isabelle Liess, Margot Debouté-Liess, Tom Hochart, Axel Chabert and Florent Guibertwho showed great things despite a difficult context.

Finally, the all new team 3also entered in division 3, discovered the competition during a trip to Rodez. For this first experience, the result did not live up to expectations, with two defeats, in the morning against Capdenac then in the afternoon against Rodez. A day nonetheless full of lessons for Pauline Delorme, Patricia Hochart, Mélanie Delmas, Cédrik Sellier, Freddy Condon and Romain Picouxwhose commitment and desire bode well for great prospects.

Before leaving the courts for the end-of-year holidays, the SOM Badminton players will meet one last time for a internal tournament organized on Wednesday December 17in a friendly and festive spirit.
