– Resulting from ESG practices through sports that have been implemented since 2020, including the Face-up campaign to improve awareness of multicultural families.

SK Telecom (CEO Jeong Jae-heon, www.sktelecom.com)’s sports YouTube channel, Strike, won the grand prize at the PR Communication Awards at the ‘Korea Public Relations Society’ fall conference on December 5th.

SK Telecom’s ‘Strike’ is a channel that provides a variety of sports content, focusing on various sports operated and sponsored by SK Telecom, such as basketball and fencing, as well as sports operated by SK Group such as soccer and handball, and lifestyle sports such as table tennis and badminton.

The “Face-up Campaign,” which was awarded this time, was launched with the motto “Multicultural families united through sports” to improve awareness of multicultural families that still exist in society.

A total of 15 teenagers from multicultural families learned basketball together for 6 months, built teamwork, and grew up together in two videos, which accumulated a cumulative 350,000 views.

Seon-wook Yoo, President of the Korea Public Relations Society, said, “The Face-up campaign is a valuable campaign that will bring about social change based on trust and communication and will continue to lead at the center of change.”

In order to practice ESG through sports, Strike has been carrying out various ESG campaigns since 2020, such as ‘With Challenge’, which takes care of children left behind after school during the Corona period, ‘Shooports Time’, which aims to restore a healthy body and mind through sports, and ‘Like you’, which aims to improve awareness of people with developmental disabilities.

Kwon Young-sang, Head of Comm Support at SK Telecom, said, “SK Telecom will continue to continue activities to create ESG value through sports with fans.”
