SUPERBALL.ID – The Philippines managed to beat Myanmar in the first Group C match of the 2025 SEA Games, Vietnam suddenly warned Indonesia.

Competing at the Chiangmai 700th Anniversary Stadium, the Philippines managed to secure the first three points over its opponent, Myanmar.

Michael Martinez Alvarez’s squad won a convincing victory over their opponents with a score of 2-0 in this match.

The Philippines’ two goals were scored by Alex Monis in the 19th minute and Latt Wai Phone’s own suicide in the 50th minute.

This result brings the Philippines to temporarily lead the 2025 SEA Games Group C standings by winning three points.

Even so, the Philippines cannot relax considering that in the next two days they will meet the defending champion, Indonesia.

To be precise, on Monday (8/12/2025), interestingly, in Vietnam’s eyes, Indonesia is the one who must be alert in welcoming the match.

Vietnam believes that the Philippines will be strengthened by players of previously naturalized descent.

In total there were eight naturalized players out of the 11 players who started against Myanmar.
