The club enters the holiday period mired in management and administration problems that border on scandal and cruelly expose the deterioration of a model that was once a reference in Brazilian football.
From reference to institutional degradation
A succession of negative episodes revealed internally in recent weeks impresses not only because of their severity, but because of the naturalness with which they seem to have been treated until now. None of this speaks to São Paulo’s past, historically held up as an example of organization, sobriety and governance. For some time now, Tricolor has subverted this legacy and started to appear in the headlines for reasons that go against its own history. — a gift marked by misdeeds, administrative mistakes and even ethical deviations, something unimaginable in the times when the Morumbi cardinals called the shots with rigor and discretion.
At the center of this hurricane is Júlio Casares. The president sees his mandate seriously threatened and is already facing an articulated opposition movement, committed to bringing to the Council the need to interrupt his administration. There is no shortage of reasons, even though the official version treats all the facts as political ammunition, devoid of truth or relevance. Reality, however, insists on speaking louder.
Scandals and the urgency of reaction
Os episodes accumulate. They range from the clandestine sale of boxes at shows featuring major international stars — a case involving the president’s ex-wife and two directors linked to the club’s corporate leadership — to the use of weight-loss pens as a method of treatment for players on the professional squad. This last case, serious in itself and absolutely outside the standard of a high-performance sports environment, culminated in the dismissal of the club’s nutritionist, who was considered responsible for a procedure that was, to say the least, reckless.
The cabin scandal exposes something even more sensitive: the promiscuity between personal interests, asset management and sports administration. A scenario that causes direct damage to the club’s image, compromises its institutional credibility and inevitably spills over into field work — always vulnerable to environments of instability and lack of control.

São Paulo needs to react. And you need to do it quickly and rigorously. There is no more room for relativizationsdefensive speeches or attempts to push everything under the carpet under the label of political dispute. It’s time to cut into your own flesh, put your finger on the wounds and spare no blame. This is not about condemning biographies, but about preserving the institution.
There is still time to prevent these problems from crossing the calendar, contaminating next year and condemning the club to another failed season. To achieve this, however, it is essential to thoroughly investigate the causes and consequences of so many mistakes. São Paulo is bigger than any management. E it needs, urgently, go back to behaving like one.
