São Paulo: Enzo, Tapia Stay – Galoppo to River Plate

São Paulo agreed, together with River Plate (ARG), to acquire the economic rights of left-back Enzo, who will sign a new contract valid until December 31, 2028, and striker Tapia, who will sign an agreement with Tricolor valid until December 31, 2029, in addition to the permanent transfer of attacking midfielder Galoppo to the Argentine club.

Left-back Enzo, who arrived at São Paulo on loan in January, was acquired by Tricolor permanently: the Brazilian club agreed to purchase 60% of the athlete’s economic rights. With the agreement, the winger’s new contract will be valid until December 31, 2028.

In his first season for São Paulo, the number 13 was the third most used athlete by the team, alongside midfielder Alisson: he played 54 games – being surpassed only by striker Luciano (58 games) and goalkeeper Rafael (60 games). The full-back scored a goal and provided seven assists.

The clubs also adjusted the contractual terms relating to striker Tapia. São Paulo exercised, in advance and irreversibly, the purchase obligation provided for in the loan contract in force until June 30, 2026, ensuring the definitive acquisition of 60% of the athlete’s economic rights, who becomes part of the tricolor squad definitively.

With the completion of the definitive transfer, Tricolor has already agreed to sign a contract with the player valid until December 31, 2029.

Additionally, the agreement provides, at São Paulo’s sole discretion, an option to purchase an additional 20% of the athlete’s economic rights, exercisable until June 30, 2027.

Striker for the Chilean national team, Tapia arrived at Tricolor in July 2025, played 21 games and found the net five times.

Finally, loaned by Tricolor to the Buenos Aires club since the beginning of the season, midfielder Galoppo was acquired definitively by River Plate: the Argentines agreed to purchase 50% of the player’s economic rights. This way, São Paulo will maintain the other 50% of the athlete’s economic rights.

In financial terms, the acquisition of 60% of Enzo and Tapia by São Paulo had a value equivalent to the sale of 50% of Galoppo to River Plate. At the request of the Argentine club, the figures will not be officially released.
