Samichlous Badminton: Gstaad Tournament 2023

In addition to intensive badminton training, we are also looking forward to our supporting program with the ski fondue evening at Rinderberg, the legendary whiskey/goulash/strudel evening and a visit to the Basel Badminton Open.

Every year Samichlous visits the Gstaad badminton club in the Ebnit sports hall in the middle of the 4th league interclub season.

It was played again in the same mode as every year. Everyone plays against everyone for five minutes. At the end, who has won the most matches is counted. Due to injuries and scheduling conflicts, only six players were able to take part and Santa Claus’ costume was also eaten by the mice. None of this had any influence on the good mood and fighting morale. An intense evening with only one winner. Thomas Trachsel from Zweisimmen was the first to choose “äs Gschänkli” at the gift table this year. After the awards ceremony, doubles and mixed doubles games continued until 9:30 p.m. The evening ended at one of our sponsors, Bruno Kernen, in Schönried. The traditional French fries were a must. This is how an intense Santa Claus evening at the Badminton Club Gstaad came to an end.
