Bologna secures the pass for the Italian Super Cup final thanks to victory over Inter on penalties (3-2). In the 90 minutes it ends 1-1: he opens the scoring Thuram after just 2 minutes on Bastoni’s splendid assist; the match goes well for the Nerazzurri who however suffer a draw from Bologna due to the naivety of Bisseck who hits the ball with his hand and concedes the penalty, converted by Orsolini. In the second half Chivu’s team has great chances to get back ahead, including those from Bastoni and De Vrij with headers but also Dimarco’s sharp shot which comes close to the top corner. Then Ravaglia stands out on Lautaro and Martinez on Fabbian in the final minutes.
In the end, Bologna prevailed in the penalty shootout lottery: on the Inter side only Lautaro and De Vrij scored, while both Bastoni, Barella and Bonny made mistakes. Sponda rossoblù instead Moro and Miranda make mistakes, Ferguson and Rowe score but the decisive penalty is that of Ciro Immobile which he gives to Bologna the final against Napolischeduled for Monday 22 December.
