Parma Transfer News: January Window Priorities

Cuesta’s Parma finds itself in a delicate area of the standings (14 points in 14 games), with a few points of margin over the relegation zone and a negative goal difference which clearly illustrates the team’s difficulties.

In light of the injuries and an incomplete squad in some roles (see the role of right defensive winger), it becomes strategic to intervene on the market. At the moment there are three priorities: a central defender, a right back and an attacker (attacking midfielder, winger or half striker). Three key players to strengthen Cuesta’s squad and offer more alternatives, given that the list of unavailable reduces depth to the squad, accentuating the structural limitations and forcing the coach to make forced choices.

As always, incoming market objectives are closely linked to outgoing movements. In recent days we have taken stock of possible transfers (read here), reporting the news of the probable departures of Begic and Djuric; the agents of the two players are working to find the best solution in January. But they may not be the only ones with their bags packed.

Meanwhile, the “radiomercato” has already churned out the first list of names who could land in the cross shirt, but there are many unknowns, as well as the absence of direct confirmations: from Carboni of Genoa (on loan from Inter) to Lovric of Udinese, Pisilli of Roma, Miretti of Juventus, Pirola of Olympiacos and Mohebi of Rostov. And we are only at the beginning, in fact the market officially opens in just under two weeks, on 2 January 2026 (until 8pm on 2 February).
