The presentation ceremony of the Panathlon Awards and the Fair Play Award will take place on Monday 15 December, at 6pm, at the Cambellotti Museum in Latina, in Piazza San Marco. The 2025 Panathlon awards were awarded to the beach soccer coach Emiliano Del Duca, European champion with the Italian national team, to the karate champion and instructor Gina Ragazzo, and to the athletics manager and coach Giampiero Trivellato. The Award in memory of Francesco Mansutti, established two years ago by the Club, was awarded to Andrea Minniti, a valuable basketball player, fresh from the world championship in Puerto Rico.
Particularly exciting will be the awarding of the Fair Play, Gentlemen of Pontine sport award. Awarded to two extraordinary old glories of Nerazzurri and national football: Luciano Melloni and Alberto Pizzi. Honorable mentions to the journalist and writer Gianluca Atlante, to the judo champion Aurelia Venditto. Special award for social commitment in favor of young people with disabilities to Latina Basket Benacquista Assicurazioni for the Wheel Power project The Panathlon Awards – established in 1980 – are a recognition that the Panathlon Club of Latina gives annually to people, athletes and personalities from the province who have particularly distinguished themselves. These are athletes, managers, journalists, people who work in various capacities in the sporting field, who can be indicated as examples, not only for significant results achieved on the competition fields, but also for their total dedication to sport, testifying to its ethical principles and values. The Panathlon Club of Pontine Latina is one of the longest-standing, having seen the light in 1958, and aims to accompany the city’s sport beyond the hundredth year of the city of Latina.
The evening will end with a convivial dinner during which the panathletic and municipal authorities will take the opportunity to express their best wishes for the upcoming Christmas holidays to the members and those present.
