The champions of the professional basketball league had to admit defeat to the San Antonio Spurs 109:111 in the semifinals of the NBA Cup in Las Vegas. Spurs young star Victor Wembanyama scored 15 of his 22 points in the final quarter and was the match winner. The Frenchman had to miss twelve games recently due to a calf injury and was only on the floor for 20 minutes.
