Nitra vs Slovan: Round Summary & Streak Breakers

Hockey players of Slovan Bratislava have only a four-point lead at the top of the Tipsport league table.

The leader of the competition, after a streak of five victories, came out empty-handed on Wednesday, losing 2:3 at home to Nitra in the 29th round.

The star of the round was Poprad attacker Adam Cracknell, who flashed with four goals and helped to a triumph in Liptovský Mikuláš 7:3.

Nitra stopped a streak of five losses. In Bratislava, Krištof took the lead with a power play goal, but Dmowski equalized a few seconds later.

Banská Bystrica jumped to fifth place, winning 3:2 in Trenčín and enjoying a full point gain after two losses.

“Soldiers” led twice, but the guests were able to equalize each time, and in the 59th minute they decided on their triumph, when Tomáš Zigo prevailed after an individual action.

Dukla claimed their third loss out of four matches and is in eighth place. Sixth is Liptovský Mikuláš, with a two-point advantage over seventh Poprad, which it lost to in the Podtatra derby 3:7.

Canadian forward Adam Cracknell shone with four goals in the winners jersey. The running “chamois” celebrated their fifth win in the series.
