Niké League: Štefánik Signs Podbrezová Extension

Slovak football player Samuel Štefánik agreed with Podbrezová to extend the cooperation.

The 34-year-old captain of the “Ironmen” signed a contract with the club for the next two years, the Niké League participant informed about it on the social network.

The midfielder strengthened Podbrezová before the start of last season, and the general manager of the club, Miroslav Poliaček, praises his services.

“This is about our captain, who has provided extremely valuable services for Podbrezová in recent months.

I can honestly say that the agreement was not easy, but I am very glad that we managed to bring it to a successful conclusion,” said Poliaček in the opinion.

Štefánik had previously worked briefly in Podbrezová (2019-2020) and also played for Trenčín, Nijmegen, Slovan Bratislava, Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biala, Termalica Nieciecza and Trnava.

With Spartak, he won the Slovak Cup, twice in the past he also wore the jersey of the representative A-team.
