For several years, the name of Abdoulaye Harouna has continued to thunder on the basketball courts, both among national and international amateurs. Entering the scene in 2007, during school competitions held in Niamey, as part of his Kassaï high school club, Abdoulaye Harouna established himself through his technical qualities. Since then, this young basketball player has undoubtedly become a leader, as he asserts himself on the playing fields.
Aged 33, with a body weight of 82 kg and a height of 1.96 m, he is married and the father of one child. According to him, he discovered basketball since his childhood and harbored the ambition to evolve in a structured sporting environment. He is inspired by his aunt Aïssa “Jordan” and his uncle Abdourahmane Amadou Karimou. At a very young age, he accompanied his loved ones to matches, observed, learned, and fell in love with basketball. He thus embraced this sport that he loves so much, which he practices with great seriousness and commitment. Before entering the circle of Nigerian basketball celebrities, he recorded an extraordinary journey through meetings that took place within the country. In addition, he emphasized being trained by coach Kalas before joining other clubs. Abdoulaye Harouna has a sporty build capable of creating a surprise against any opponent. What is important to him is victory. I take all my opponents seriously, he said. In 4 years of integration, Abdoulaye took part in regional and national meetings in Niamey. He dominates the national scene with several victories, winning collective and individual titles. In terms of advantages, Abdoulaye Harouna also recognizes that basketball allows him to satisfy his needs. The virtuoso played in more than four (4) different clubs in Niger before starting her professional career. These are the National Guard, BBC, ASAF and AS Nigelec. Today, this young player is the pride of FUS de Rabat in Morocco, his current club. In his record, in 2021, the young basketball player has been Niger champion and winner of the national cup several times. As for his away record: in the United States, he was champion with Miami University, best player and best three-point shooter. In 2019, he was once again the best player in a dink competition at Miami University. In his professional career, he was champion in Morocco, champion in Ivory Coast, holder of the national cup in Senegal and the President’s Cup with ASC Ville de Dakar. The star was ranked among the five best defenders of the season in Senegal. Today he embodies a model of leadership, determination and character: qualities that inspire his teammates. His game is a perfect blend of sharp shooting and relentless defense.
Harouna is an experienced player, and that is why he is coveted by many clubs. He brings maturity and stability to his team. “I won almost all the individual awards in different competitions,” he said.
