The NFL brought together three legends of the American football league in a meeting with press outlets from around the world to talk about expectations for the Black Friday Football game, which takes place this Friday (28).
This will be the third edition of the special Black Friday match. This year, the Philadelphia Eagles host the Chicago Bears at Lincoln Financial Field, in Philadelphia (PA), to compete for the best campaign in the national division (NFC).
Richard Sherman, former Seattle Seahawks cornerback, Ryan Fitzpatrick, quarterback with 17 seasons in the league and Andrew Whitworth, former Los Angeles Rams tackle, got together to talk about the importance of the game, on a different day of the week, for the NFL’s global expansion.
“Trying to create new traditions. We found another day, Black Friday, where it will be possible to get together with the family and enjoy another NFL game. Part of the answer is global growth. The ability to watch this wonderful sport for free for everyone is the league’s answer to that: let’s provide access for everyone to watch this game that we love,” said Fitzpatrick. Typically, NFL matches take place on Thursdays, Sundays and Mondays.
“It’s really cool to be part of something new and innovative. It makes us proud to know that people will be watching our product,” said Sherman.
In addition to this Friday’s match (28), the athletes answered several questions about the highlights of this season, such as the Indianapolis Colts’ surprising campaign and Matthew Stafford’s success with the Rams.
The Bears-Eagles game will be broadcast for free globally in more than 240 countries and territories on Prime Video, with no subscription required.
