Shooting continues to conquer the SEA Games 33
After winning the gold medal in the 10 meter air rifle medley with teammate Nguyen Tam Quang at the 33rd SEA Games, Le Thi Mong Tuyen confidently aims to win the women’s individual 10 meter air rifle competition together with her female teammates today. In addition to Mong Tuyen, her two teammates, Phi Thanh Thao and Nguyen Thi Thao, participate. If they qualify for the finals at 9:00 AM, Mong Tuyen and her teammates will compete in the finals at 11:45 AM.

Today, Vietnamese athletes take part in a series of exciting sporting events. The qualifying rounds start at 9am, followed by the semi-finals and finals in the early afternoon. In badminton, Vu Thi Trang and Bui Bich Phuong will play in the semi-final against the third seeded duo Kusuma and Puspitasari (Indonesia) at 11.30 am. In women’s volleyball, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy and her teammates will play the Philippines in the semifinals at 3 p.m. They hope for a win to advance to the final.

The swimming championship enters its fourth day of competition, highlighted by swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang’s performance in the 200 meter freestyle. This is the part where he won a bronze medal at the 2023 SEA Games with a pretty good time. However, Vietnam’s number one swimmer will have to compete against very strong opponents from Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. Huy Hoang starts with the qualifying round at 9 a.m., followed by the final at 6 p.m.

In athletics, Vietnamese fans turn their attention to the golden girl Nguyen Thi Oanh, who will compete in the women’s 5000 meters final at 6:45 p.m. After winning four gold medals at the previous SEA Games, Nguyen Thi Oanh has decided to participate in only three events this time: the 5000 meters, the 3000 meters steeplechase and the 10,000 meters. Her goal is to win all three gold medals for Vietnamese athletics.
