Miño Wins Table Tennis Gold at 2025 Bolivarian Games – Ecuador

This Friday, Ecuadorian Jorge Miño won the gold medal in table tennis at the XX Bolivarian Games by winning the final of the men’s singles tournament against Colombian Emanuel Otálvaro 4-0 (11-8, 11-9, 11-5 and 11-7), while the bronze went to the Venezuelan César Augusto Castillo and the Peruvian Felipe Duffo.

Before the final, Miño had defeated the Peruvian Rodrigo Hidalgo in the quarterfinals by 3-0 (11-9, 11-5 and 11-5) and in the semifinals against the Venezuelan Castillo, by 4-3 (8-6, 6-11, 11-8, 5-11, 11-5, 11-7 and 12-10).

Peru was the winner in both the doubles event and the team tournament, with Carlos Alonso Fernández, Diego Takeda, Rodrigo García and Duffo, who beat Venezuela 3-1 in the final.

The victory in doubles went to the Peruvian couple made up of Duffo and Fernández, who in the final beat the other Peruvian couple, made up of Takeda and Hidalgo, 1-3. (D)
