MARC Marquez is aware that MotoGP 2026 will be even harder for him. He immediately named three names who were expected to be contenders for the world title.

MotoGP 2025 ended sweetly and bitterly for Marquez. He successfully became world champion, his seventh title in the premier class, in his debut season with Ducati Lenovo.

Unfortunately, Marquez had to end the 2025 season with an injury to his right shoulder. He fell after colliding with Marco Bezzecchi at the 2025 Mandalika MotoGP, early October.

Because of this, Marquez is aware that the first few series of MotoGP 2026 will be difficult for him. Apart from having to catch up, he believes the competitors are getting stronger.

“Every year is different. No matter how good you were in the previous season, it doesn’t mean that next year will be the same or even better,” said Marquez, quoted from CrashMonday (29/12/2025).

“Usually it’s worse at the start because everyone’s eyes are on you. I have to work hard all winter to prepare myself as much as possible because there are quite a lot of tough rivals,” added the man with the Spanish passport.
