Here a double from Chaumont (Haute-Marne), there another from the Ardennes and a little further away a third representing Île-de-France. The Magenta Badminton Club (MBC) tournament has consolidated its place in the sporting competition calendar. It attracted 188 entrants and generated several hundred matches for a tournament entirely dedicated to doubles: men’s and women’s doubles on Saturday and mixed doubles on Sunday. Around fifteen volunteers were mobilized for the event.
Two teams involved in Interclubs
“This is the most important event of our season”considers the president, also coach and player of the club, Marc-Aurèle Moinault. The competition has been open since 2024 to players classified in Nationale 3, in addition to all regional and departmental series. So he moved upmarket.
The Magenta Badminton Club has around 80 members, including around thirty young people. It fields two teams in competition, in Regional 2 and in Departmental 3. R2 is 4e of his group with one match won, two draws and one defeat. Marc-Aurèle Moinault plays with R2 despite his individual ranking (National 2) which makes him one of the best players in Champagne-Ardenne.
