“It has the garage of the Brazilian Rowing Confederation and I use the structure of Team Brasil’s CT, in the Olympic Park, at Maria Lenk, with the bodybuilding and indoor rowing part, with all the multidisciplinary team that the COB has”, he said.
“Today there is a new direction [da confederação] with the CEO Ney Wilson, the president Luís Felipe, who is a former athlete and was once my teammate at Botafogo, when I started. So, it’s very positive to know that, today, we have competent people at the head of the confederation and who want to do something for the athlete”, he added.
The rower pointed out the positive side of the changes taking place in the first year of the cycle for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
I think everything in our lives has a reason, something bigger up front. It’s how we face adversity. I see that this year was one of many changes, but, above all, a year that I end with a positive balance, with a lot of inspiration and dreaming more and more about unprecedented results.
Lucas’ fiancée, canoeist Ana Sátila also left Botafogo during this season. “We have all the structure to be able to really dream of greater results from now on. 2026 will be a year of many good surprises, both with me and with Ana Sátila, my fiancée. We support each other a lot and we will add more and more to bring the long-awaited Olympic medal.”
