Liniers Wins: Busy Summer Ahead for Football Club

Liniers defeated Huracán Ciclista of Adolfo González Chaves this afternoon and reached the quarterfinals of the Regional Federal Amateur Tournament.

The albiengro won on their home court by 2 to 1 and won the round of 16 key by 4 to 2, since they had achieved the same result in the first leg.

Julián Monteverde escapes against Estéves’ mark.

Chivo’s goals were scored by Joaquín Parra, with a great goal from outside the area in the 17th minute, and Gonzalo Bárez, who scored by entering the far post after a cross from the left in the 76th minute.

For the visit, meanwhile, Joaquín Villar retired from Chile, at 88.

With a good collective performance, some outstanding individuals and leading the way from the beginning of the rematch, the team led by Hernán Rosell settled into the next instance where they will face Atlético Ayacucho, which left Olimpo de Tres Arroyos on the way.

*The development

Joaquín Parra already took the left foot that was destined from an angle, for the 1 to 0 of Liniers.

Liniers was aggressive, compact, solid and very involved in the dawn of the game, almost as if sending a message that he would not speculate with the advantage achieved in the first leg.

Winning in all aspects of the game and in every centimeter of the field, he stood with his lines very high and from the start he was the protagonist and began to generate risky situations.

In less than 10 minutes, the Bahia team had already accumulated three clear chances and in different ways: an individual attack by Monteverde, a header after a corner from Lucas Der and an attempt by Ullman that was saved by Reynaud after a good collective action.

Taking advantage of the mobility of Joaquín Parra, who started as a forward but never gave references, and taking advantage of his associations with Gabriel Ullman, the team led by Hernán Rosell turned the game on the right. To exploit that association and, also, to leave the left wing to the climbs of Massimo Monti, who as the minutes went by became more loose and played almost without a fixed reference when attacking.

All that goodness that Liniers hinted at at the start of the match, from the game and the territorial aspect, was captured on the scoreboard at 17 minutes thanks to a true great goal.

Parra, who had started the afternoon deep, faced from right to left from three quarters and took a left-footed shot across the corner of the goal that faces Alem Avenue. Power and perfect direction were the ideal combination for Chivo to open the scoring and take, although it was still early, a big step towards classification

What a great goal you made, Julián Monteverde seems to say to Joaquín Parra, who is hugged by Wunderlich.

That good moment lasted a few more minutes, although the albinegro could not achieve it due to lack of precision in the definition, or due to the good interventions of the goalkeeper Reynaud.

About half an hour into the game, the home owner was lowering the intensity, perhaps because he knew he was two goals up in the series, and in return the visiting team did the rest, knowing they were on the ropes.

Slowly, Huracán moved forward on the field and for the first time Liniers played with a lower block near his goalkeeper, which also left him the field ready to bet against.

In that context, the Globe’s number 9, Ángel Retamoso, was growing and with his great size and will he began to cause concern, with pure power and with his movements.

Monti turns and escapes Facundo Gómez’s mark.

Julián Monteverde holds on and opens with his back.

However, and almost like a trend that was repeated throughout the afternoon, every time Liniers managed to team up or had some positive individual flash, he stepped on the accelerator and reached the rival area in danger.

Far from disappearing, that characteristic was accentuated in the complement, with two teams that were somewhat more open and with a little less tactical order.

While Liniers had enough flashes to create dangerous situations, Huracán, without losing his form, was in search of a tie and the last attempt to react to avoid being eliminated.

Iván Fernández comes out of the back under pressure from Retamoso.

Wunderlich tries to cover up Ocampo’s rejection.

Thus, Bárez had a one-on-one entering almost through the center of the area in an individual attack and could not define, and Retamoso continued to complicate things with his movements and power near the goat area.

After a very good intervention by Valentino Torres after a shot by Augusto Ontivero, Pancho Bárez expanded the score and finished off the series.

The black and white captain arrived alone at the far post and pushed a cross from the left, in one of the many times that the Bahia team filled the Huracán area with people.

With the score already 2-0, the afternoon had one more pearl left. Because at 43 minutes and after a free kick from the left, the entered Joaquín Villar nailed a great goal from a bicycle kick to the surprise of everyone and everyone, and made the final 2 to 1. To a certain extent, a deserved goal for not giving up and continuing to go despite being down in the series.

The truth is that Liniers had already done the work before and had deservedly led the way, thus achieving qualification for the quarterfinals.

In this way, Chivo knows that it will have a busy summer because in just a few days it will compete again, looking to take another step towards promotion… why not?
