Ligue 1 TV Rights: All Matches on Ligue 1+ Next Season

The representatives of the Ligue 1 clubs meeting on Tuesday decided to recover on Ligue 1+, the broadcast platform of the Professional Football League, the poster proposed for two seasons by BeIN Sports, AFP learned from a source close to the LFP, confirming information from L’Équipe.

The channel created this season by LFP Media, the commercial subsidiary of the LFP, will broadcast all nine Ligue 1 matches per day during the 2026-2027 season, compared to eight this season, the Saturday poster at 5 p.m. being the property of BeIN.

In the middle of a dispute with the Franco-Qatari channel, Nicolas de Tavernost, the general director of LFP Media, proposed to the Ligue 1 College, which represents the clubs, to repatriate the last match to their platform without trying to sell it to another channel.

For its poster, BeIN pays the League 78.5 million euros annually in rights, but, unhappy with the broadcasting restrictions imposed on it, the channel no longer pays all of its invoices (only 14 million euros out of the 18 planned for the last two payment deadlines).

She wrote to LFP Media to announce her intention to no longer broadcast her L1 match in 2026-2027 and claimed 29 million euros in compensation from LFP Media before the Paris Economic Activities Court on December 8 to challenge the restrictions imposed.

For its part, LFP Media also summoned BeIN Sports before the same Paris economic court to obtain payment of all payment deadlines. The verdict in this dispute has not yet been rendered.

With this exclusivity, Ligue 1 +, which has 1.1 million subscribers to date, should increase the price of its subscription – 14.99 euros today – to compensate in particular for the loss of financial windfall from BeIN.
