In a heartwarming initiative aimed at fostering youth athleticism adn promoting teh spirit of sportsmanship, the Levanga Hokkaido professional basketball team recently extended its reach beyond the court. As part of their ongoing commitment to community engagement and the United Nations’ Enduring Development Goals (SDGs), the team participated in a meaningful donation drive that brought smiles and new basketballs to young students.
On december 4th, General Manager Ryota Sakurai, accompanied by the team’s mascot Revard, visited an elementary school in Sapporo City. This visit was a key component of “LEVANGA ACTION,” the team’s dedicated SDGs project. With the generous support of East Japan expressway co., Ltd., the team was able to donate 10 brand-new basketballs to the eager students. This act of generosity is part of a larger plan to distribute basketballs across various locations throughout Hokkaido, with the overarching goals of popularizing the sport, enhancing children’s physical capabilities, and providing them with valuable opportunities for athletic experiences.
